Being a leader in a faith community means being authentic, creative, and adaptive to changing situations. The Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada‘s  LeaderShift program exists to support United Church leaders to gain and improve the inner and outer skills to lead faithfully, mentor others, and innovate to their context.

LeaderShift offers three types of support: training through workshops, retreats and webinars, individual coaching, and on-site consulting services. These subsidized supports are available to any and all paid accountable Ministry Personnel in the United Church in the Pacific Mountain Region.

The Goals of LeaderShift are to:

  • Equip leaders with the skills to lead in a changing context and in a variety of context
  • Help leaders develop the personal and spiritual skills to lead transformation within their communities of faith and to be mindful spiritual leaders
  • Ensure leaders have peer support and places of retreat to avoid burn-out and isolation
  • Offer new tools and approaches so leaders can practice innovation and birth the next phase of Christian spiritual community in this place and time
